Dave Haslam & Cressa in Conversation

September 15 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

Dave Haslam and Cressa in conversation

In the 1980s, Cressa was hailed in i-D as ‘the face of Manchester’, he went on the road with Happy Mondays, and was integral to the Stone Roses (he was onstage with the Stone Roses at their big shows and their first TV appearance). In the mid 1990s he co-founded a band called Bad Man Wagon, became close friends with both Damien Hirst and Joe Strummer but then disappeared from view. What happened next? He became addicted to heroin, and homeless…

Dave Haslam’s new short-format book ‘Not All Roses; The Life & Times of Stephen Cresser’ tells his story, a profoundly moving insight into the world of music and the depths of addiction. It’s the sixth book in Dave’s ‘Art Decades’ series – all will be for sale on the night.

Dave and Cressa will be available at the end of the event for a book signing.
